Acupressure Stress Elimination Technique
Dr. Berg’s acupressure technique, called Acupressure Stress Elimination Technique is a very effective method of reducing body stress and creating relaxation in the body. Dr. Berg, out of the necessity to help people with stressed out bodies developed a step-by-step acupressure procedure to reducing overall body tension resulting in increased circulation, less stress and more energy. Through this technique many people have regained a healthier body. Less body stress improves a better quality of sleep. Better sleep assists with weight loss due to the fact that people burn the majority of fat in deep sleep.
Dynamic Joint Recovery Technique
A great way to make joints functional, flexible and symmetrical!
Injuries to joints, ligaments, and muscles send “protective guarding” signals to the surrounding tissues causing pain and decreased range of motion. Even know the soft tissues might heal with scar tissue within a few weeks, the neurological “component”, if not addressed can keep the joint in “guarding mode” long after the injury. This makes the joint susceptible to further injuries as it is now a weak link.
Dynamic Joint Recovery assists in improving inappropriate muscle and soft tissue guarding allowing the joints and muscles to relax and function better.
Through a series of stretching and acupressure maneuvers on both the nerve, ligament and muscle components of a joint, a better relaxation can occur.
There are several things you need to know to understand how this procedure works:
#1 When a muscle gets damaged, it no longer fully 100% contracts or relaxes appropriately.
#2 If a muscle cannot contract or relax, it becomes weak, painful or stiff.
#3 Strengthening exercising applied to a weak, painful or tight muscle can re-injure soft tissues surrounding the joint.
#4 Stretching a weak, painful or stiff muscle can cause it contract harder preventing the relaxing effect. Nerve stretch receptors within a tight muscle when stretched can cause further tightness, not relaxation.
#5 To improve joint flexibility and joint strength, one must address the neurological ‘protective mechanism’ or ‘muscle guarding’ creating a relaxation effect BEFORE stretching and strengthening exercises. This correct sequence can greatly improve the rate of recovery.

- Neck and jaw tightness, pain or restriction
- Ankle, elbow and wrist tightness, pain or restriction
- Fibromyalgia
- Poor posture
- Overall all loss of flexibility and stiffness
- Chronic pain and stiffness from old injuries
